Where Is The Love?

by Michelle   Apr 2, 2004

What is our world coming to?
Why is it filled with so much hate?
So much hurt and destruction
And drugs..our minds to sedate.
God-given life seems to have no value
Taken away in the blink of an eye
The shot of a gun, the swipe of a knife
It's all got me asking Him why?
Why can't we practice the golden rule
When we see someone feeling down
Why can't we do all that's in our power
To help them turn their world around?
So often times, it seems
We stay wrapped up in our own little space
Not noticing the cares of others
Or the sad look upon their face...
In fact, it's often perpetuated
He's an outcast, She's not good enough
Well who are we to judge?
Who will be there for US then
When things get rough?
Society as gone downhill
And it's only picking up speed
A little Love from each one
Is truly what we really need.
Spread a little happiness and joy
Instead of fear and animosity
Maybe if we all try a little harder
This will be a better place to be.

Thanks to Black Eyed Peas for inspiring this..what a great song...
People killin People dyin
Children hurtin and you hear them cryin
Can you practice what you preach?
And would you turn the other cheek?
Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above..
Cause people got me, got me questioning..
Where is the Love?
