Journey of the Soul

by bubenfest   Jan 29, 2007

My soul lies in a deep abyss
driven in by myself.
thoughts and emotions surround me
loneliness takes my soul in stride
drags it through the mountains,
rising a fear of heights.

Beautiful scenery below,
clouds towering above
brushing through the sky.
My darkest thoughts
drag the grayest of skies.
Rain begins to pour upon my skin.

Caught somewhere between heaven and hell.
My serenity, a falsehood, proven wrong by reality.
despite my highest of ambitions,
the lowest form of self proceeds.
happiness soars higher then the birds could ever reach,
hidden with despair untitled in a soul.

my home, a turbulent sea of reality
clear as the blue sky.
a struggle between black and white,
never reaching the grayness inside.
Finally gaining confidence the storm passes,
leaves a calm wind, and damage unforeseen.
