Unknown

by bubenfest   Feb 28, 2007

His presence carves a hole in my heart
memories unknown to me seep into my soul
unfair death left unjustified
killer taking him before my time
stranger to my life
seizing me with memories
settling in my dreams
conscious visions of his life
until real life conquers me
tears rising in me
like a fountain trickling with water

Is it better to have known and lost or never met at all?

contemplate the contingency
preferring a face and a personality
spending a day, a moment
a memory, a cherished memory
forever engraved in my soul
surpassing all my dreams
displaying reality
anger overtaking sadness
but regret nowhere in sight
blind vision of the pain
mere wish of ecstasy
