Lands of darkness

by Strange Angel   Jan 30, 2007

*i know this gets a little obsure toward the end, any suggestions welcome.*

Sorrow falls on plains of hate
Like the rain that drowns neglect.
Forgotten pain and long lost love
All die in sunken meadows.
Feeding on immortal fear
A sombre song sings silence.

Hush little child,
Nothing will touch you here,
No fear or pain will hurt you.
In the fields of lost innocence
No one will notice you're here.

I guard the lands like death stops time
And all obey my law.
For in these lands of endless dark,
A single light shines brightly.

Don't pretend to love the face
They sell to you in plastic;
It's always wrapped in hate.

Alone in my pastures of darkness
You are free to cry.

Here, you are allowed to live.

I think that it was very moving, I could feel the helplessness in it, it almost made me cry
