Falling into a Dream

by cowgirlstar26   Jan 30, 2007

I'm falling.....
suspended into the black
the wind rushing beneath me
I've fallen, how long with this last?

falling, into another world
where love and hate meet
friends and enemies are one
where the pain doesn't bleed

landing, hard
my body takes in the shock
I open my eyes
to see my dreams unlocked

I can't move
the world is changing
everything is different
whirlwinds of thoughts cascading

for a glimpse I see
that one moment of hope
the face...so unclear
the love I've always known

pulling me to my feet
asking if I'm alright
I know I'm safe
this dream, this crazy night

we walk through the world
where everything is strange
it's just a foreshadowing
of what we became...

then he pauses
lets go of my hand
fades away into the darkness
like a tiny grain of sand

I soon awake
my pillow soaked with tears
for every night I dream this
and my dream's are what I fear....

Dreams can be many different things but always some how feel so real. Dreams are sometimes better then reality and at times also much worse. I loved the meaning in the poem it was great - people come and go in our lives everyday, but theres always a couple we want to stick around. great write 5/5

Very well written poem. You did a a beutiful job of describing the anguish that comes along with hoping for a love that is not there. Keep up the good work.
