The Beauty of Blue

The colors of the rainbow
So beautiful to see
But there's only one color
That really captures me

Blue is my favorite
It comes in many shades
Dark, royal and navy
Also when denim fades

Blue is the color of the sky
On a bright sunny day
And sometimes with patches of white
When clouds are in the way

Blue is how we feel
When we're having a bad day
But reading lovely poetry
Can take that frown away

Blue is the color of the sea
In a warm Caribbean isle
The colorful pink sand
I can not help but smile

But blue is my favorite
And not because of the skies
What I really love the most
Is your beautiful blue eyes.
