Relationship That Died

by Cathy   Feb 2, 2007

Memories floating in my head
growing up together to finally wed
as children we played and laughed together
building sand castles and promising to be friends forever
It was a time where nothing could go wrong
it was a time where our friendship was strong
and as we grew to our teenage years
we stood together to calm each others fears
whether it was family issues or being nervous about something small
we were together to give our all
than it became clear that we were to be more than friends
and thats where our love began
we got together and became apart of each others heart
destined to be together forever and never part
but as time soon passed we turned into adults
our love fell apart and we both were at fault
we got caught up on other things
and forgot about the joy our love use to bring
we didn't talk like we once did
our feelings we kept inside hid
we didn't go out and do things together
we no longer did the things we once treasured
we were no longer best friends like before
our relationship was gone now it was out the door
and at the time things seemed not to matter
we just let love turn into a disaster
a disaster that soon caused pain for both of us inside
so we came to accept that our love had died
