My Monster

by Jeremy B   Feb 3, 2007

Calm and mellow outside,
While demons torment within.
This monster was caged inside
Before you awoke this sin.

Never did I bother you,
Nor once did I ask
For your help or favors
With and thing or task.

If you play with fire,
You will get burnt.
Look at me now!
Has your lesson been learn\'t?

Just turn and walk
Away from this being now.
Do not ask "of what?"
Do not wonder "how?"

This was my fave part of the poem. I liked how you worded this poem. Sometimes I feel like that...you know, hiding my feelings until they build up and burst. I thought this poem was really well written.
