Wish You Well

by Jeremy B   Feb 3, 2007

These words are like a veil,
Separating me from love, from the world.
Keeping me a prisoner of my own Pandora.
Kept in silence, neither in Heaven nor Hell.
I look back as I walk away and wish you well.

My tears are an ocean, set sail
On the rough waves of my heart.
Ride this typhoon of emotions out,
Hang in as we get through this hell.
But as you abandon and I go down with the ship,
I wish you well.

Sinking below in such sorrow,
I suffocate under the pressures
Of love. Drowning in my own tears,
For the immense amount of them is never shallow.
As I sink, motionless, I think of your tomorrow
And wish you well.
