A Leap Into Reality

by Briana   Feb 5, 2007

In your dwelling place
Your fortune is clear
Hope resting above
Settles on the breeze

Gentle mystery
Wrapped in the warm chill
Caressed in control
Captivating night

Sudden spiraling
Could it be the rain?
The hopeless drumming?
Is it all ending?

Staccatto beating
Fear is now crawling
Time begins ticking
And all you can hear...

WInter--it rushes
A blizzard of ice
Whining, breaking, gone
A trace of regret

You're counting each step
Burdening the mind
A terrible crash
Yet it is over

Feeble attempts fail
The flames are waiting
Cowardly shaking
Too wrapped in yourself

But what can you do?
You're already lost
Can't pull the trigger
You're already dead
