Dazed Love

Beneath this skin
under the flesh and bone
there lies something within
that knows what it's like to be alone

like the sweet scent of a rose
lost amongst the grass
but as the wind blows
it's discovered atlast

I would've been better off gone
better off to die
i knew it all along
but never understood why

I won't ask you to change
i don't want to see you veiled
life should have to be arranged
nor should it be concealed

You tell me of the blade
three hundred times it laserated
now trying to recover what we've made
I try to mend what seems all to complicated

you say it's who you are
but that's not what i see
all I can do is gaze from afar
because in you life there's nothing there for me

I know life can have high demands
some difficult to beat
i will always be there with helping hands
knowing that you have the ability to defeat
