A Lover\'s Mistake

by Staci   Feb 7, 2007

She sits and she waits
for him to come home
he's left her again
so cold and alone

he said that he loved her
promised never to leave
now she's crouched in a corner
what she sees she just can't believe

he brought another girl home
he said he would change
what should she do
she feels worthless and strange

she grabs a knife
she can't believe what he's done
how could he do this to her
how could it be that she can't run

she sits on the bed and she cries all alone
she pulls the knife across her wrist
thinking of all the things that he said
and the love that she felt when they hugged and they kissed

so quickly she's dying
while he f**ks in the other room
she calls out his name
as she faces her doom

he never heard her
he didn't care
he never loved her
he was never there

the next morning he found her
so pale and so cold
he pulled her so close
just her he wanted to hold

but now he can't
it's just way too late
he grabs a gun
he now knows his fate

he makes sure that it's loaded
and points it at his head
he quickly pulls the trigger
and falls to the floor dead
