Told her Otherwise.

She's walks on down the street,
head turn as she passes them by.
She attracts unwanted attention,
and they fail to meet her eye.

It's not because she's unattractive,
For ugly, she is not.
The men, they watch with longing because,
She's the cheapest on the block.

Her price is low, for she is desperate,
for the money to survive.
Though every night a client leaves,
she feels anything but alive.

She does not care, not one bit,
that they use her for one need.
If she lets emotion in,
She’s sure her heart will bleed.

Her life is broken and she’s the shell,
She knows nothing but sex and lies.
She is nothing, or so she says,
But no one ever told her otherwise.
