Face Of An Angel (to Sara)

FACE OF AN ANGEL

Gone with the wind,
she finds herself in
a world that sweeps
her off her feet,
a world she wants to
keep.

She looks at the
life before her
and closes her eyes,
as her mind floods
with all the whys;
inside she cries,
she pushes aside all
the lies and prays
this isn't a dream.

Her heart in her hands,
here she stands,
with the face of an angel
she realizes what shes
found,
a man to stand her ground.

Fate and time collide,
they push aside and
confuse her with thousands
of lies.
She tosses and turns,
finds it hard to think,
hard to learn from all
she's been through.

Her hearts beauty shines,
all she wants is something
she can call "mine."
She thought she saw a sign,
the reason why
she doesn't hide behind
all her fears;
simply because he's here.

Her eyes set on destiny,
hesitance captures,
like an endless rapture;
cracked appealing,
each face revealing a
choice shes made,
somehow she wishes they'd
just fade.

Her body trembles,
as she feels shes
being disassembled;
fighting her own mind,
she cries to be undefined.
Hidden beneath the face
of this angel lyes,
a heart,
a soul,
the ability to make
someone whole.

Capturing the scent of
purity,
the security that keeps her
alive;
she kisses it gently
and opens her eyes.

Face to face,
she closes her eyes once
more,
bends her knees to the
floor,
and stretches her hands
to the sky.
Tears fall like
grace,
lacing her face as they
crash like missiles
and pierce like thistles.

She gives all she has
just to find true love,
she needs the one above
to send him like a dove.
She wipes the tears from her
eyes;
made to last,
her heart falls so fast,
for the one who has her
heart.

The one things that
keeps her from things,
is fighting the very thing
she wants most.
She groans and gets
frustrated,
irritated.

Afraid like most,
to get hurt
she finds its
worth it.
Destiny mimics her
thoughts,
tracing deep with in
the deepest wishes
of her heart
and strums them,
like a violin.

Gone with the wind,
she finds herself in
a world that sweeps
her off her feet,
a world she wants to
keep.

She looks at the
life before her
and closes her eyes,
as her mind floods
with all the whys;
inside she cries,
she pushes aside all
the lies and prays
this isn't a dream.
