To Be Strong

I try the best I can
and yet I go insane
My life is not the best
I do have sorrow and pain

It's not an easy task
to be a single mother of two
I have my good and bad times
like any of us do

I'm trying to go to school
to make better of myself
Not only for my babies
but my dream within itself

Everyone will put me down
to try to keep me from getting ahead
Someday soon you will see
it is yourself that you dread

I will get ahead in life
and yours will still be same ole'
but you still put down the determined
cause your heart's as black as coal

You're jealous and your angry
cause you don't have a strong enough will
but if you try your hardest
your dreams you will fullfill

I'm 19 years old with two babies
and no help to go along
I'm pretty much alone right now
but I know it won't be long!
