Our Spot

by Alicia   Feb 10, 2007

I walked to the river.
Carrying your ashes in a pot.
I was gonna set you free,
To always be, in our spot.

I sat down on the bank,
Your pot in my lap,
And for only a moment,
You seemed to be back.

Looking back on the past,
How the days were so hot.
We would sit and skip rocks,
Right here, in our spot.

I stood up and walked to the water.
Emptied your remains from the pot.
You flow away with the water,
To be forever, In our spot.
