Illusion

by David   Feb 11, 2007

It is raining down pain
Thunder storms of sorrow
Rumbles of hurt from today
Then the quiet ending, but
Will there be a tomorrow?

Heartbeats of confusion
And life times of unknowing
Is life a secret distant land?
A place I call the :illusion:?
Yet no one will give me the chance

So I be a shadow all day
And silent by night
Not to arouse suspicion
I hurt now, you were right
You were my obsession.

I am soaked through
To the inner core
I wish I could have the power
To be strong, turn the clocks back
That one fateful hour.

I think that is a secret wish we all harbor, to be able to turn the clock back, and do something over, but if we do, then all the things we have now, all the lessons we've learned, go away... the poem was amazing as usual David.. you are such a wonderful poet!! All your poems have such a meaning, great job... 5/5 my friend
