War in Debt

by Muhammad   Feb 12, 2007

The burning light brightens the valley of the doomed,
The midnight rain shimmers in dust upon ash,
Fire bleeds through the town of Karbala,
Ash to ash,
Fire is to fire,
The morning lark mourns a sorrow,
Left unheard,
Tomorrow unwillingly is another day,
As the night before Damascus,
Was filled with agony,
Blood Spilled,
Children Killed,
And here I stand,
Blood covered,
But not dead,
The last memories,
I never could forget,
Will haunt me for life.
