Damaged

My heart has been damaged beyond all repair
Nothing in life seems to be fair.
You asked for my heart and I gladly gave it to you
You were so gentle and kind to it too
You said I was fragile and that you were my tough shell
You said I was special and that you could just tell
You said you couldn't think of being with anyone else
Neither could I because you're the only one who made my heart melt
Then all of a sudden the gentle phase was through
You took my heart and broke it in two
You said our connection just isn't what it was
You said there were feelings there but it wasn't love
Now its hard to see you smile
While my shattered heart lies here in a pile
One day you'll regret the decision you made
And slowly my love for you will begin to fade
My heart has been damaged but it will repair
And slowly it will get stronger and soon I wont even care.

    Dat sht was gud ma cuz i can relate 2 u alot cuz niggaz r full of sht but keep ur head up

    There were a lot of emotions in this poem. Form the beginning it sounded like there was hope, but as I read further along, I could see that there was none.

    The only thing that I would have to improve was this specific line,

    Neither could I because you're the only one who made my heart melt

    it was too wordy and threw off the flow of the poem.
    other than that.
