Last Wish (For my Grandfather)

by Alvin Laberinto eNigmaa   Feb 12, 2007

My last wish,
Is for us not to part ways,
Cuz I know you will leave us,
For a permanent number of days.

My last wish,
Is that I keep my promise when you go,
That a tear never falls down,
If it did, I won't let it show.

My last wish,
Is for you to stay awake,
Enough so that you live,
To see your 83rd birthday cake.

It's really hard,
Not to know my last wish,
But I don't want to lose you,
And that might be it.

My last wish,
Let me wander off in the past.
To see your face again,
I wonder if it would last.

I liked it, I thought it was sad and yeah it was strong, even know you probably didn't know it when you were writing it, the wishes really show that out, and because your wishes are so conciderate and loving and are so desperate, it holds such a strong power of the readers. And I for one was held over...

My quote/poem to you would have to be..

    No one lives forever,
You can wish as hard as you like,
But even the most loved have to go,
And close there eyes and aboard that last flight.
