For My Grandad

by Laloser05   Feb 12, 2007

They take the good-en's first they say,
I heard them saying that today.
You weren't young, but you were good,
Why doesn't life work how it should.

I really miss you, it's not fair,
To not see you sitting in your chair.
The one in which you watched TV,
And laughed with Nan, and Dad, and Me.

Toward the end, you weren't yourself,
You hated the fact you needed help.
It was then i think, you knew,
This is hard to write because i miss you.

I know you wouldn't want me to cry,
But i do no matter how hard i try.
You were the only one i ever knew,
And now... I've lost you.

In a better place, you're at peace,
I think that's the only relief.
You being gone, makes me sad,
But I'll meet you again someday,
Grandad.
