Path

by Grace   Feb 13, 2007

As I walk the dirty sidewalks,
the wind in my hair,
blood on my face.
Down on the ground,
my footsteps I retrace.
And all I see is your eyes,
stinging me inside.
Gleaming and squeezing out,
everything I try to hide.
And though im floating,
and though im scared.
I keep walking,
and my heart it self has never repaired.
And you have so much to learn,
so much to gain,
so much potential,
yet you cause so much pain.
And so many of us walk on this tear soaked soil,
so many of us crawl,
and die, and coil.
Some you know,
Some you love,
Some you hate.
Regardless we're in the same state.
So find yourself and reach inside,
fear is weaker,
when fear is combined.
