Eyes

by Grace   Feb 27, 2007

Eyes of sorrow,
eyes of hope.
Eyes of anger,
eyes that choke.
Eyes that can't,
and eye's that won't.

Scream so loud so we can hear,
but all we see is what we fear.
All emotions kept on gaurd,
to keep us from what we know is hard.
Yet we see it everyday,
but we pass by,
and months go astray.
Hearts seem wheighted,
our souls,
our hearts,
our joys degraded.
Yet everyday we start anew,
our dreams and hopes.
Yet we know they'll never come true.
So easy when your young,
too simple to find.
And now we search and search in the back of our minds.
Gritting our teeth at all we thought we left behind.
The memories,
the hurt,
We might as well put the statements on our shirts.
"I hurt."
"I cry.'
"I'm happy."
"I died."

Instead we have eyes,
too help us to see.
What I see is what's inside of thee.
So I'll take a picture from me to you,
so you can see inside of me too...
