Slip Away - 15/08/2006

As the hand slips,
And I walk away,
My heart stops beating,
My tears show where I lay.

I try to keep walking,
So I don't run back,
So I don't look behind me,
Your what I lack.

My heart cries,
Like the rest of me,
Like I'm falling apart,
But you can't see.

The look in your eyes,
When we say goodbye,
The salt water that starts,
It's almost I have to lie.

It breaks my heart,
A single simple goodbye,
It hurts so much,
I just have to sigh.

You know the feeling,
Never wanting to say a word,
Never wanting to leave each other,
A hell is much preferred.

Look at our goodbyes,
How hard, how its not our last,
How painful each one is,
Just as the last, just how fast.
