That Word.

Why is there a Good,
In the word goodbye,
That word is just so painful,
The Good is just a lie.

You want to wish them well,
See them happy too,
Hope their life ahead is good,
And they wont forget you.

Some might even still,
Leave footprints in your heart,
This makes it all the painful,
When we say goodbye.

Goodbye is forever,
Do remember that,
They'll never see your face again,
Or hear the words you said.

A 'see you' gives them hope,
Like the eye inside a storm,
But do not say goodbye,
Unless all hope is gone.
