Just like Us Those are People

by Lindsay   Feb 14, 2007

I think to myself what a wonderful world
but then I snap back to reality
War and poverty
are what I see

People trying to make changes
looking at strange faces
forcing other nations
to conform to what they want

I look around and here its pretty nice
no fighting on my back door
no one having to hit the floor
but over there thats all the see

I look in the crowds here
catch a glimpse of hope, wow
a younger generations times to glow now
Lets see what we can do

Is there people out there with the courage?
Can we achieve great things
Prosperity, is that what they bring?
Or are they just going to stumble and fall

Lets stand up, stand up
Lets rise above whats been done
the worlds biggest battles have yet to be won
and rise to the occassion

We are young and free here
got oppertunities and more
lets go stop the poverty and the war
Cause just like us those are people
