Unspoken Words

So many things left unsaid
So many things left unheard.
We parted so suddenly
I never got to speak my words.

I never got to tell you the truth
What lies deep within.
I never got to tell you before
Your life became so very grim.

I know its too late now
That my time to tell has passed.
I wish I would've told you sooner
But being loved is what Ive lacked.

Ive never had someone
Feel that way for me.
But more so Ive never experienced
How great it can be.

To love and be loved
Its a gift Ive been given.
Something I wanted for so long
But now seems to be hidden.

My chance has gone
Thats an obvious fact.
I cant change the past
And I cant bring you back.

I should have told you before
That very dreadful day.
Who would've known
It would end that way.

I cried when I heard about
The car crash on the news.
3 injured and 1 dead
a crash caused by boos.

So now I'm standing here
Next to your sealed-shut casket.
And all I have left to say is
My love for you is everlasting.
