Nighttime Poetry

by Sheree Speaks   Feb 16, 2007

The night sky flows over
Like a mysterious gypsy cape.
Black velvet with glitter diamonds.
A satin blindfold over the world.

Mother nature's alter-ego arrives.
The sky is dim with the moon's night light,
Sending society on a sleepy escapade.
Some rise, some slumber.

This certain hour brings fourth senses.
Both mystical and mysterious.
A cycle all wait for and wait end.
This is nighttime and this is sacred.

    Like it. this line:

A cycle all wait for and wait end.

sounded awkward to my ear and didnt make a lot of sense. I like "mother nature's alter-ego"

you've got nice ideas on the "cycle."

    I absolutely love the night.
