So She Kept Me Waiting

by Lucifers lair   Feb 17, 2007

You kept me waiting
Grand off this time
This life you're stealing
All this is mine.
"Stand strong, stand strong!"She had said
But she didn't stand strong herself
The brick castle she had built
Piece by piece all by herself
The dark water surrounding her castle
Prying for entrance
You'd think she'd fight back
And use more cement
Instead she lets the dark water leak in.
"My love, you're dieing" she had said.
But she had been dieing herself
Buried herself six feet under
Choking over the sorrowful dirt
Skin bleeding its sadness
Over the coffin floor
Strong and cracked
She could've broke through to the light
But instead she let the darkness devour her
She didn't have the chance no more.
She cried her eyes out
Until they became sore
So she kept me waiting
And I had said
I will keep you standing strong
I will stop you from dieing
I will build your castle stronger than steel
I will fight the dark waters and
Shine the sun bright
I will pull you out of the dirt
And those tears will dry
And you would look up at me
"You kept me waiting" she had said (2/16/07)
