Waisted time

I had a crush on a girl when I was younger. I could never tell her but I always helped her with problems and I was always there to listen and give advice. I like this girl for 2 1/2 years. I had told her before that I like her, but she would never take me serious.

Eventually I thought I loved her. She called me up one day to talk. She began the conversation joking like she did to me all the time "Hey babe what you doing." I thought that it would be a normal conversation between us. After we talked about many topics there was a pause. She said something to me after 2 1/2 years that I thought I would never hear.

She finally got the idea that I was serious about likeing her. She told me she wanted to be with me and that she loved me. But it was too late. I told her that I had a girl friend and that things between us would have to change.

She didn't want that, so she tried breaking us up numerous times. At this point I realized that she wasn't worth the time I spent trying to be with her and get close to her. I realized that after 2 1/2 years that I spent wasting time talking to her and thinking about her. I started likeing her half way through my 5th grade year and it ended when Marina and I started going out my 8th grade year.
