A Moment in Time

by ♥Beth♥   Feb 19, 2007

Another day like any other day,
Temperature so warm it feels like May,
Rainbows and flowers,
Kids making towers as you go to start your day.

Sun shining not a cloud in the sky,
Wishing you could just freeze time but the moment passes you by.

Hours pass,
Cars come at you fast,
No way to slow,
Nowhere to go,
Your mind flashes back to hours before,
Standing in the sun just outside your door,
The vision ends just as you hit,
You no longer need to worry where to sit.

Sun shining not a cloud in the sky,
Wishing you could just freeze time but the moment passes you by.

Blood everywhere,
You’ve given everyone quite a scare,
Paramedics come,
They examine you some,
But everyone already knows you’re gone.

Sun shining not a cloud in the sky,
Wishing you could just freeze time but the moment passes you by.

No more moments,
No more fears,
No more sights,
And no more tears,
Just memories for those who loved you so dear,
They will always be wishing that you could be here.

Sun shining not a cloud in the sky,
Wishing you could just freeze time but the moment passes you by.
