Last Moments

by Blackened Heart   Feb 20, 2007

Sitting with a blade in hand,
waiting for the right moment,
when she walks through,
so she can see all the pain she caused me,
in one simple motion.
The knock on the door,
the door opening in a hurry,
and the sound of her calling my name,
all telling me its almost time.
My own bedroom door opening,
the squeaking on the hinges,
the sound of my rosary,
and crusifixes,
jingling on the door knob.
She breathes frantically,
seeing my hand move as fast as lightning,
and the blood now staining my once tanned flesh.
Her shrill screams,
and her calling out to God,
is all she'll remember she heard that night.
She gave me one last kiss,
as I bled and died in her arms,
and told me she loved me,
and that was the end.
She never got to hear what I told her,
through her screaming voice,
that I loved her,
till the very end of my time.
