Just Like Yesterday

by Perfectflaw   Feb 25, 2007

Remember when we were kids
All the fun times we had
The training wheels and hopscotch grids
Using words like cool and rad
Do you remember the fun we had when we would play?
I remember it just like yesterday.

Remember when we were young
How everyday was a blast
The rope over the river that we hung
Man those times went by fast
We were the predators, life was our prey.
I remember it just like yesterday.

Remember when were teens
Thinking that we were grown up
In a brand new t-shirt and pair of jeans
Begining to notice the girls close up
Tackling all the problems that came our way.
I remember it just like yesterday.

Remember when we were young adults
Ready to set out in the real world
Thinking we knew what it was all about
Like a dance our lives became twisted and twirled
Do you remember life before we were lead astray?
I remember it just like yesterday.

Remember when adults we became
Moving out and getting a new car
Our lives really began to change
We been through everything, the thick, thin and bizarre
Do you remember life before you chose to go this way?
I remember it just like yesterday.

Was your life really that bad
That you figured it best to end it
And give up everything you ever had.
Did you remember me and your family even a little bit?
I will remember you every single day.
I will remember you just like yesterday.
