Swirls of the uninterrupted mind

by Flying Phoenix   Feb 25, 2007

Flickering, flashing memories
Dancing across a hidden screen
Teasing, tempting, asking to remember
Trying to be heard
In this sea of lost thought

A young boy running, screaming
As he throws pebbles into a pond
Laughing unbounded
Scaring the sea gulls
That fly away, far far away

Droplets thundering down
Streaming against the clear glass
Gazing out of the forbidden window
Outside, but trapped in here

Blossom raining in a shower of delight
Swing beneath an apple tree
Granddad laughing

And snap

It's gone

Lost in a memory
In the swirls of an uninterrupted mind

Wow, nice poem. Sometimes its good just to let your mind wonder, good memories often through. 5/5
