Figment

by Breeanna Heflin   Feb 25, 2007

The silence darkens with every beat of my heart
How you were there from the start
Always there next to me
Never letting me be

Never believing how i appear
Just knowing the truth and my worst fear
You never really lied
Until the day you died

You said "I'll always be near"
But guess what your not here
You up in heaven
Remembering when we were 11

Now you're just a figment of my past
I thought you would but you didn't last
My heats has stopped and my life has passed
You were my everything my friend, love, and man
You were my one helping hand

Where are you when i need you most
killing yourself, turning into a ghost
Now you're not here
The spiting image of my worst fear

Why did you have to go
That's what i will never know
You left me here alone
All thats left is our memories and this poem
