Murder Comes Knocking

by Christina McDowell   Feb 26, 2007

You don't have to look
For trouble to come
He came and took
My mind and made me dumb

That dreaded knife
That left a gruesome mark
It took away my life
And left me in the fearsome dark

My heart in his hands
My life on the tracks
He was the man
That made me fall back

The blood ran down
My body and soul
There's no sound
All that is left is a gaping hole

Murder comes knocking
You won't even know
Hurting and rocking
Killing you like so

I thought he was a blessing
To change my whole life
He just came messing
And killing me with that knife

That fleeting moment
Of true happiness
A mere consent
Of horrific sadness

Ripped to shreds
Torn to pieces
Almost dead
As pain increases

Our love was fiction
There's a stab in my heart
Was it his mission
To make me fall apart?

Fallen in the rain
Fallen to pieces
After that pain
My heartbeat finally ceases

I only tried to please
To make him a happy man
But I couldn't seize
his helpful hand

He ripped my heart out
And threw it away
I was in doubt
In the never-ending days

We finally came to an end
Tears come to my eyes
I will never see you again
Now I slowly die...
