This*Is*The*Last*Song*You'll*Ever*Sing

I haven't talked to you in weeks
My mind is going dead.
My heart is beating out of my chest
Guilt is swimming in my head.

It's just a phase of time
Just another open road.
Looking for someone in the world
That could help lighten this heavy load.

It's the thorn in my side
And the poison in my veins.
It's the calling of the wind
That streams through the pouring rain.

The lightning strikes
And the thunder will crash.
I still love you like I used to
Your memory will last.

I'm lying in the grass
Trying to remember everything you said.
The rain is still falling
Pouring on my head.

I'm closing my eyes
Breathing within the rhythm of my heart.
My heart was just broken fragments
But I still gave you a part.

I feel a soft breath on my neck
And a gentle voice creep into my ears.
Your arms around me
Now that you are here.

I won't let you go
I've waited for too long.
This is the last time
This is the last song.

The last song you will ever sing
The records skips another beat.
Forever, then never, always, and whenever...
