The Memories We Never Had

by Dana   Feb 27, 2007

I cherish every memory
the ones we never had
of all the days that never came
the good, the ugly, and the bad

although I never met you
I know we'd be great friends
you would help me through everything
from the beginning to the end

you died before I was born
in the very same year as my birth
I know a pain struck my family
and life took a turn for the worst

I didn't have a grandma
one to love and to love me back
all the memories before you died
something my whole family lacks

I endured everyday without you
the good, the ugly, and the bad
I cherish every memory
the ones we never had

I dedicate this to my Grandma Prince who died around the Easter of 1991. I was born in December of the same year.
