What I See

by OHgreenman   Mar 1, 2007

A broken and tormented
Soul deep within
Questioning to start
Anew with him.

Broken promises
And shattered dreams
Still haunt her
Kept unseen.

Stories of old still
Dance on her tongue
Cleansing from within
Soul to keep young.

Heart once made
Of cold bitter ice
Has once again
Regained new life.

A smile on her face
Spring in her step
Things that were missing
Long they have slept.

Heart now filled
With warmth of love
Fluttering softly
Like a morning dove.

Two souls connected
Quietly she sighs
This is what I see
Gazing into her eyes.
