Courtroom of the damned

by Rochelle   Mar 3, 2007

Locked in a courtroom
all eyes upon the judge
This decides the finale
freedom, or doom

The accuser stands in watch
waiting for his turn
get this liar into hell
and into the endless gloom

The defendant stands in watch
Silent as if a mute
no-one notices him
he's playing to his own tune.

The accuser steps forward
his evidence takes flight
"he's a liar, a thief, nothing to you nor me
he should come with me this very night

He's worthless, a coward
He stands before you now
He has nothing you find worthwhile
he should hate his life the stupid cow!"

His eyes are filled with rage
Hate flows from within
His authority seems mighty
It seems he may just win

The accused is on the floor
as defenseless as a lamb
he thinks hes lost forever
at the hands of this unreal man

The defendant comes from the shadows
all eyes upon his cause
"this man accused has done nothing
you must free him because..

His sins i wiped him clean
the book of life he's in
ill show you his very name,
see he has left no more sin!

I died for it
freed his very soul
he has no reason to be here
Satan cannot overthrow! "

The accuser seems in shock
he cannot lose another
not to this Jesus Christ
he who has no mother!

"Why would you want him?
theres nothing in it for you
he hated your very life
you can have the next few"

"No he's mine
his life is set free
get your hands off my child
theres nothing for you to see"

with that the judge decided
all evidence in account
"this person is free of sin
his sins are none to count

the verdict is a easy one
guilty is not the plea
Jesus Christ have your way
for this one you set free"
