Just a Trend

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Mar 6, 2007

I love to listen to the dead of night;
I love hiding from the bright, white light;
I love cutting, slicing through the skin;
I love the blood curdling scream that erupts from within;

I love it when it rains;
I love this bitter sweet pain;
I love the sweet, tainted scent of Death;
I love breathing in my very last breath;

I love walking around dressed in black;
I love the thought of never coming back;
I love the idea of this being the end;
I love the fact that you think this is just a trend;

But I hate the way I'm always compared;
You treat me like I'm stupid, like I'm impaired;
I'm nothing like her, OR you;
I'm ME, not that I'm surprised you never knew;

I hate the way you close your mind;
I hate the way you act as though you're blind;
I hate this anger you make me feel;
I hate the fact you don't realize that this is real;

I hate the way you'll feel that day when I'm gone;
But you should've listened to the words of those songs;
I hate all your feelings of strife;
But you should've taken an interest in my life;

I love this laughter bubbling inside;
But I'll hate the look on your face when you realize I have died;
I love the blood dripping from my cuts;
I hate the fact you never had the guts

To ask me what the f@#k was wrong,
The way you pretended you knew all along;
I hate having to say 'Goodbye',
But, Mama, one day, "we're all gonna die".

    The poem was well written. Cant say as I like the content of it but we each have our problems. Perhaps we can help each other to strive for happiness and leave that pain behind.
