The Epic

by Jack Ryan   Mar 6, 2007

Innocence in my eyes,
Never more.
Black is the day that I see,
Is there something for me to see?
The serpent He stares back at me,
Gone is the sun
An unknown tomorrow wields up ahead,
Disguised from my eyes.

Damn all the holy,
Blind are the seers,
Silence this voice on the back of my mind
Make it disappear
The bones I dug,
My fate is now sealed
Making each day seem like an eternity.
I'm tired friend,
Now I walk and speak to you
With only my life that's full of glee.

Here I come out in the sun
In this frightful day
Nothing to look forward to
Shadows are all that remains.

Let it blow the candle
Drown my fear inside
My room is empty,
Steal my soul, but am I alive?

Time
Is on my side
I shout to the heavens
I AM ALIVE!!!!
Our destiny
Won't be denied
Once more on this Earth
We shall take pride.
