Single fathers...acknowledge us..

by jmelly   Mar 7, 2007

This comes from the heart, from a father, of kids who love me
not just because i have that title as a daddy
but because from jump its been me
changing..wiping...feeding....bathing...and where were she?
doesn't matter cause i am there daddy....
i get a call on my job too come and get my oldest cause she doesn't feel well
who goes and gets her...not her mother...its me....jamell
its a never ending battle as a single parent, and only mothers get credit
there are a ton of single fathers, that really don't get the credit
we do the same things women do, its not our fault that some women don't take care of home
and our out here like these dead beats that don't take care of what needs to be taken care of.....
its bullshit.....cause she thought she was hurting me
but she hurt 2 people that will always remember the day she walked out
the day she left without a single goodbye kiss
forever my babies will miss her...but will they remember?
will they remember the nights she held them until they went 2sleep?
the nights she feed them until they went too sleep?
the times....the times..the times...she didn't just hurt me...
she destroyed her family

Wow....What a heartfelt anger described in words so well. The flow was amazing. As for the message.....too sad that it's true. Men do not get credit for their deeds as fathers. If this is a true story spoken from experience then my wishes for you in happiness and peace.
