Little At A Time

by Andy loves Jesus   Mar 7, 2007

Can't make it into another day.
I'm frightened there is no escape.
Won't let go not until I die one day.
I'm still scared to be there too late.

When it builds up inside me.
I can't take more then I need.
Decisions hurt for me to make.
I'm so tired of trying to take.

MORE THEN I CAN CARRY.
I'LL HAVE TO TAKE IT A LITTLE AT A TIME.
GIVE BACK I'M WEARY.
YOU’RE TELLING ME TO TAKE NOTHING AT ALL.
WHEN I CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE OF THIS.
NOTHING MORE THEN I CAN LIST.
I'LL HAVE TO TAKE IT A LITTLE AT A TIME.

My thoughts were pouring.
Of a list of things I wanted.
To make it with enough to bring.
I must drop everything I bled.

Just a little bit tonight.
Maybe a little bit more tomorrow.
Getting back just feels right.
The rest that I can't grip I'll let go.

Hurts to say goodbye.
But it's my time to move on.
I never thought I'd realize.
Everything I move has been so wrong.

Good job, Andy. I like it a lot. I know the feeling of having so much to take on at once, and taking a little a time is a great way of putting it. I think when you said that it was time to move on, it seemed a little of topic...It could have been the way you worded it but it kinda didn't fit when I read it. Keep up the great work!
