With His Last Breath

by NytherHerenorTher The hooded poet   Mar 8, 2007

With his last breath, i began to cry,
with his last breath, i began to sigh

with his last breath, all the memories flooded
back,
and all moments we'd shared

with his last breath, he began to smile,
with his last breath, his face began to glow

with his last breath, his life flashed before his
eyes,
as this world began to slip away

with his last breath, in all of the silence,
with his last breath, in all of the pain,
his face found peace just the same

with his last breath, i held his hand,
with his last breath, i struggled to stand,
as his eyes closed for the last time

with his last breath, his soul found it's rest,
into the arms of Jesus, for him was best

with his last breath, even though it hurt deep
within,
i knew that in heaven i would see him again
