You will be alone

by taylor   Mar 9, 2007

Trees rustle in the darkness
Something stirs in the night
A shapeless despair growing
Swiftly birds take flight
It stalks past rocks and bushes
Toward light and river flowing
Silver fangs reflect the darkness
Green eyes spark, all knowing
Hunted for eternity
Never knowing peace
He wishes to be free at last
Of pain that will not cease
The whistling wind sweeps the air
Seeming to sing to him
Words of pain and sorrow
Heard all soft and dim
"you will be alone"
Shadow wolf turns to the trees
Vanishing, continues to fight
For he is trapped in his own world
Disappearing with moon and light
And still the wind will sing for him
Lost and alone out there
With no one who knows, who cares.
