Why am I still here?

by MyDevotion   Mar 9, 2007

Why am I still here
traveling down this road so clear
everything seems so free
this all seems too good for me,

Open your mouth and let the air inside
let this breathe stimulate your mind
step back a few paces
all those you hurt, look at their faces,

Ive walked down this road before
lets just call it quits, say no more
but you wont speak these words
burning me, your puppet, to the core,

The wind blows so cold
my heart seems to turn to stone
caring of nothing, chilled to the bone
my heart is no longer whole,

My skin turns black
my eyes turn white
everything rolling back
my life being pushed into the night,

Climbing through our tree
cuts throughout my arm
life being but a dream
living without your charm,

Douse our love
full moon above
perfect night for an ending
perfect night for hells descending,

An angel in disguise
a devil in my eye
its time to say goodbye
please stop, leave me to die.

^ Flat-out amazing!!! =] That stanza was my favorite, no contest.
The poem was like reading a kind of story, so descriptive & the emotions were vivid. Fantastic, keep it up! 5/5
