Is this Love?

by MyDevotion   May 16, 2007

I sit alone on this warm day
The wind blows, and the flowers sway
A single rose is shone above them all
For this shade of red, I shall fall
Is this love?

From over my paper, I spot her there
For fear of attraction, I shall not stare
Upon her hat, a rose is placed
My courage and bravery is erased
Is this love?

A tree shadows her in shade
But from her presence, a light is made
Yet I sit and stare down
The attraction, has been found
This is love.

I love this. It's so unique. I love the last lines of each stanza and the last one's effect on the whole poem. The flow was excellent as was the rhyming, it was so naturally written. The description made really good imagery, I could see the girl in my mind. Very well done. I love your poetry. =] 5/5
