No More Mommy

Today I woke up and dad was dressed in black
I snuck up behind him and poked him in the back
And turned and looked at me, then let out a sigh
That's when I saw the many tears in his eye

I said, "Daddy what's wrong, and is mommy still in bed."
Daddy kept on crying and slowly shook his head
Then I started to cry because I didn't like to see my daddy so sad
He picked me up and hugged me, and I said, "What happened, dad?"

He told me "Things are going to be a little different for you and me."
"Mommy got in an accident, and now there's only two, in this little family..."
