I enter the room in a shimmering gown
my hair tied back
I'm wearing a crown!
i feel so happy, i feel so proud
i want to laugh and squeal so loud!
that Ive gotten this far, without taking my life
Ive resisted the temptations of my good friend the knife.
sure Ive had my problems, the type where i want to die
where everything that i heard, everything that i knew, was simply a lie

now i am entering my own school ball.
everyone looks at me, a huge smile on their faces, i can see they are happy for me i can just smell their joy.
